Rest in Portland
Cathy picked us up in Kennedy Meadows and drove us to Sacramento. It was a beautiful drive. Both in company and view
Always the chauffeur extraordinaire. While on the way, we hashed out all the details of our upcoming John Muir Section of the PCT. I will be taking a 1.5 week break in Portland, OR. I start back at Kennedy Meadows on July 2nd.
Ragnar is taking advantage of the rest he is afforded in this luxurious dog bed.
Bert and Cathy being excellent hosts for my few day in Sacramento prior to flying home to Scott. We are both so excited to go home for a while. We almost did not make it due to an embargo no dogs flying in the cargo area. There is a heat wave in California exceeding 107 degrees. This heat means no animals in the Cargo. After much discussion with the Alaska Airlines, it was decided that as an emotional support animal he can fly in the plane with me. I was so nervous about the whole situation. Fortunately it went really smoothly. Ragnar behaved very well. Now we are in Portland, OR with our favorite guy resting up for our next leg of the journey.
