Agua Dulce, CA. MILE 454

Out of Wrightwood, CA and off to summit Baden-Powell. Hiked 7 miles to camp and summit in the morning for sunrise.  It was a lovely time eating and sharing about our lives.  Concluding with a lovely sunset.

Baden-Powell mountain was named after the founder of the Boy Scouts. This monument is on the top of the mountain.
Of course,  the sunrise was spectacular.  Clouds lapping at mountains. This is Crumb and I in the picture.
Of course we had some snow! Pinata is doing a really good job traversing snow.

Did a 24 mile day that end with these amazing trail angels cooking us burgers.  So delicious.
I was asked to describe a trail angels. Then was promptly given a  perfect definition: "A Trail Angel is defined as someone who provides help, transportation, lodging, or food to a hiker. Many times these random acts of kindness are what it takes for a hiker to pull through and continue on their journey when they feel like they have reached their breaking point. "
This plant is poodle dog bush. It is said to be like poison oak. It is one of the first plants to pop up after fire. There was a lot of it around. I have been lucky enough to avoid it.

The terrain was fast and I completed 24 miles four 2 consecutive days. It was hot, but really peaceful.
The pine cones are so big. This is literally bigger than my head. Crazy.

This is what most of the terrain looked like. If you look \closely at the bottom of the picture you will see a fellow hiker named Steve. He has yet to acquire a trail name.

Got to see some geological formations that are part of the San Andreas Fault. Vasquez Rocks is the name of the park.  Really interesting. Trail angels at Agua Dulce called hiker heaven.  That have this whole set up for hikers.  Showers, loaner clothes for when you are doing laundry,  places to cook, ect. http://hikerheaven.com/ I will be taking a zero day here to give my body some rest.
