Scissor Crossing to Warner Springs. Mile 109
We are back on the road. Got dropped off at Scissor Crossing and hiked all day under cloud cover. It was very beautiful views. There has been the appearance of more and more cactus. I think we are getting closer to the desert.
We managed our water and were to refill very carefully and were able to only carry three liters of water every ten miles. This has been very helpful for my back; especially since Ragnar is still on his pack break.
The feeling of euphoria in reaching a hundred miles! I try not to think of how many more miles to go, but how far we have come. This trail is seems to only be emotionally palpable in small doses. Little goals and obtaining them are the way to go.
This is the famous Eagle Rock. It is naturally occurring. No man interference. It was really cool.
In Warner Spring we took a good rest, picked up our food packages and continued on the journey. We both have sore feet, but we are fairing well. There are moments when the solitude of the trail can be encompassing, but I just try to hold on to the reasons why I hike.
