Fifteen miles of pure elevation gain in 95 degree weather and no water for 20 miles = horrible while doing and amazement when completed.
P.S. I carried 5 liters of water. Drank 3 liters and left 2 for tomorrow.
I would not have made it through if it weren't for Pinata and Sour Straws. My suffering companions.
Excellent news, I've made it half the way through the desert!!! Small goals.
Today marks three weeks on the trail and as anniversary present I got a trail name : Milestone. Apparently I'm always pointing out our next goal or soon to be accomplishment.
Our day ended with exhaustion and cowboy camping, but we slept with a view of Anaheim, CA.
We ended with an early morning 13 mile hike into Wrightwood, CA.
