Hikertown. Mile 517

Back on trail after four days respite. The team is back together! Ragnar swears that he is dying of heat exhaustion. I frequently remind him that he is being dramatic. We have endured hotter days. 

You can see the Mojave approaching. I am nervous,  but the solution is to keep walking.

The bugs were horrible on this section. Ragnar had at least 30 flies around him at all times.  Luckily the way was frequently shaded and we could push forward.

The ground was so hot that I placed dogs boots on and we pushed all the way into hikertown. That's first 24 mile stretch.

Hikertown is a movie producer's property that has all the western house props that double as dorm rooms.

500 miles @$#%&^$# I can hardly believe it.  Have I really walked 500 miles? I promise it was as hard as you might think.

A lift into a market/ cafe.  Hiker sardines. But oh so happy to be going four food!
