Lone Pine, CA. Mile 766

Back at it.  Of course it is still hot.  The name of this game is elevation gain. 

Up, up,  up.  It will take us 3.5 days to reach the base of Mt Whitney.

A fellow PCTer letting off some steam. 

Got to sleep with a view of Alpine Chicken Spring Lake. So pretty.

We are still averaging 20 mile days. But slowly dropping 

Hiked as high as possible on Mt Whitney prior to summiting in the AM.

 The views are stupendous on the highest mountain in the lower 48 states.

I'm so tired. Phew.

Still have enough energy for a bestie tradition.
