Old Station, CA. Mile 1371

Fed, washed, and dried we hiked a couple miles out of Beldon. We were joined by After Burners, a determined lady from Virginia.

Found a lovely camp site near a creek.  Brazilian Woodpecker gave us a brief Buddism lecture.
Taught us a chant. I'm learning so much.

Woke to go up a fourteen mile climb.  It was tough,  but managed another 26 mile day!

Scraped into camp to crash and enjoy the full moon.

Sunrise on Mt Lassen ushered us to halfway on the PCT. I have done 1325 miles! It is surreal.

To celebrate half way we hiked 3 hours in the rain and did a total of 30 miles. J.K. on the celebration, the rest is true.

Boiling Sulfur Lake.  It is truly volcanic.  I'm glad that I took the detour to investigate this wonder.

True celebration is breakfast at Drakes Guest Lodge and a dip in the hot spring pool. This is located in Lassen Volcanic National Park.  It was bliss.

Finished up the day with 27 miles into Old Station. Got hailed and rained on during the process. Everything is damp.

  1. Girlfriend! You are such a trooper! A Super Trooper! (Now that will be stuck in your head for miles. :-) ) At this increased pace, do you know where you might be on Aug. 19th? Or the 20th? Still are hoping to meet up with you.
