Solar Eclipse In Oregon

Bounced out of Etna all the way to Portland. Came up with a fellow PCT hiker named Blawesome (Pronounced blossom). Came home with the purpose to see the totality of the Solar Eclipse and my boys.

Got to spend two nights at home! My own clothes,  toiletries,  and space. Got a new,  but exactly identical shirt. The difference is amazing. I will inform you that this shirt has been washed.

During my short respite for the trail my mother and her husband Ken came to see me. In addition they will be traveling with us to the Ochoa Forest in southern Oregon to experience the eclipse. Of course, in the meantime, we had to take them for Voodoo Doughnuts.

Mandatory stop at Trillium Lake to get a lovely view of Mt Hood.

Once in the Ochoa Forest, we selected a campsite and good viewing for the next day's Eclipse. But, in the meantime we enjoyed a lovely sunset at.

On Eclipse day we played four person cribbage while we waited for the fateful 2 min and change eclipse. The only recordable image was this erie "sunset" during the eclipse.

Post eclipse wet parted ways and Scott drove me back to Seiad Valley, CA to get back on trail.
