Northern Terminus of the PCT. Mile 2650

The last stretch. It has not gotten easier. Every day is a challenge and I have a count down going on. Only four more days. These are the words I start this stretch with, along with "You can do this".

No matter how tired I am, the beauty still amazes me.

Fall really has left her mark on the landscape.

I imagine that the mountains are becoming more bare due to how north we are.

To know that you only have 50 miles to go. Two days, two days, You can do this.

These trees are amazing. They look like evergreen trees, but they change colors in the fall. Yet to be seen if they loose all of their needles. P.S. That line on the mountain is the trail ahead.

*Sigh* So pretty, but onward ho.

An up close example of the changing color evergreens.

Gold and red, fall in full swing. This picture is a little dim due to the clouds that briefly have stopped raining on me.

Rain/Snow. My weather on the day I will finally see the Northern Terminus.

There was not too much precipitation, but the wind was so cold that I had to put almost all of my clothing layers on.

Last lake on the PCT. What a farewell.

I will not lie. At fist sight of the Northern Terminus I fell to my knees at its base and cried my eyes out. This journey was hard and long. I am so proud to have finished it. I will cherish all the things I have learned along the way

Most of all, I am grateful to all of those who helped my journey. I could not have finished it without their support.  I have a regained hope for humanity.

Only 8 more miles until I'm safely in civilization. My mother and her husband Ken are picking me up. I am so grateful to have loved ones meeting me at the end. Thank you for joining me on my journey.
