Stehekin, WA. Mile 2569

After getting excellent rest in Leavenworth, it's on to Stehekin. Luckily I had perfect weather.

Okay, perfect is relative. It was cloudy, but no precipitation.

I've seen chipmunks for most of the trip, but this was the first time that one actually stood still long enough for me to get a picture.

Fall's changing colors were so fantastic.

Glacier Peak. The four days to Stehekin are essentially walking around this mountain.

Someone must have made this snowman during the previous four day snow storm.

I feel you snow man. I can understand the sentiment.

This is a hoary marmot. He is at least 30lb. I would suggest googling the noise this marmot makes. It legit sounds like a whistle.

I stood here and marveled at the expanse for a solid 3 minutes. Today was the day to walk 29 miles, so couldn't stay too long.

I ended up going to Chelan, WA. Took the Lady of the Lake boat all the way from one end of Lake
Chelan to the other.

Ray and Faye are a lovely couple for Sequim, WA. We chatted the whole way on the ferry and then they graciously gave me a ride to Safeway and my Hotel. So wonderful to have met them.
